About my Trip
I planned a trip to Neemrana  (I am myself surprised too) with my office colleagues which are more of my friends. We opted for this location as it is nearby and is the most apt location for a quick getaway to spend quality time with friends apart from office work.
Neemrana
Wiki says, Neemrana is an ancient historical town in Alwar district of Rajasthan, India, situated at 122 km from Delhi and 150 km from Jaipur on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Behror tehsil. It is situated in between Behror and Shahajahanpur.
The center of attraction in Neemrana is the 15th century heritage hotel which is reconverted from Neemrana Fort Palace (also known as Desert Fort). It is among the most popular resorts near Delhi, Gurgaon and Jaipur for weekend breaks. It is a dream site of history which makes it an ideal place to invent your past.
Some distance from Neemrana is another fort, Kesroli in Alwar district, It is also one of the oldest heritage sites.
You can visit Neemrana all year around, but due to the fact that it’s in Rajasthan, winters and monsoons will serve as an ideal time to be there.
Get Going…
A one day trip to take a break from the Hustles and Bustles of Delhi and Millennium city- Gurugram (aka Gurgaon) started from HUDA City Centre Metro Station. People from different areas assembled there at sharp 6:30 in the morning. We, a pack of eight fun-filled members; decided to drive on our way to the destination via NH8.
It’s approx. 2 hour stretch by road from HUDA but we took more time as we stopover a Dhaba to have our breakfast and some selfie
Directions
From Gurgaon continue along the NH8, once you reach Shahajahanpur toll, Neemrana village is just 4 kms away on right side. You can follow the direction signs there to reach the Neemrana Fort Palace. You will get the space for parking at the Fort.
Adventure Arena!
Besides having the acclamation of India’s first heritage hotel, Neemrana is now a destination for adventure sports in India.
Here comes the most interesting part of this Trip- Flying Fox.
It’s a thrilling 5 zip wire adventure which takes near about 2 hours and starts with trekking of 750m. Before starting our first zip lining adventure, a mock drill and a safety brief was done to teach us how to travel through rope.
After this we were set to fly across Aravali hills and landed back at fort around 11:30 am with a huge smile. This was the most amazing thing I had ever done in my life, that adrenaline rush.-all worth experiencing.
 Some Do’s and Don’ts

Ø  Pre-booking online is always advisable for Flying fox to ensure guaranteed spot and discounted rates.
Ø  Consumption of Alcohol is strictly prohibited while going for the adventure activity.
Ø  Ensure that you arrive at the Flying Fox site office in sufficient time – i.e. 30 minutes before the start time of your tour.
Ø  Dress appropriately according to the weather condition and avoid wearing clothes like sarees or skirts.
Ø  Participant should wear closed toe shoes not flip flops or open-toed ones.
Ø  Carry E-ticket as a proof of your booking confirmation otherwise you will not be allowed to enter fort.
Being a Flying Fox customer, you are allowed to spend 2 hours inside the fort apart from zip.
One hour we spent at fort exploring the panoramic views of greenery and the beautiful fort. Of course, we clicked lot of photos too.

Summer Splash
Another thing to confess, I don’t know swimming and I was reluctant to go into swimming pool. But my friends dragged me in. Everybody swam so well, to me it seemed that they are all professionals.
There were lots of firsts in my life because of this trip. Planning a trip without family, swimming, zip lining and even drowning.
Yes, you read it right-drowning. In my attempt to catch a throw inside the pool I almost drowned but then a friend came and picked me up and took me near to the wall. But never mind, all’s well that ends well (not pasting pool pics here )
Spending almost 2 hours in the pool, playing TT and carom we dint realize that it was 5:00 pm in the evening and we have to move really quickly.
Calculative
Before this trip I didn’t have the idea that one can do so much fun, masti along with adventure in just a single day. With some amazing people this amazing tour costed only 2000 rupees per head (a very reasonable amount) and the memories we got in return are priceless. Technically, ROI preceding investments means we were at profit.
Memorable Memories
Well, this is not the end… a beginning it is. I just fell short of word to continue describing my experience. Indeed, this trip is so far the most memorable one for me. A day well spent it was!
I may not have words but a picture is worth thousand words so hoping this scrapbook might convey what words failed to express.
What Next??
In Solange Knowles’ words- You get educated by travelling.
Not just fun but a positive change this experience brought in me. Now, no more being couch potato. Instead of sitting at home and engrossing in mobile, laptop or television, I’ll look out for opportunities to explore and travel.
While writing this, I have come up with the name of my next destination- Rishikesh. Will soon plan to visit it with my friends which mean more enjoyment is waiting for us to grab.
